Commonwealth Supply Chain Advisors is pleased to announce the addition of Perry Shore, a twenty-five-year industry veteran, to its line-up of senior consultants. Commonwealth is a supply chain consulting and advisory services firm based in Boston, offering services such as distribution center design, supply chain network optimization, and Warehouse Management Software (WMS) strategy.

 

Mr. Shore joins Commonwealth as a Supply Chain Consultant and will play an integral role across several of Commonwealth’s practices: Distribution Center Design and Operations Improvement. Mr. Shore spent the previous eight years as a design engineer for Dematic North America, a leading supplier of automated material handling systems. Prior to that, he spent eighteen years designing automated storage and retrieval systems for Daifuku. Over the course of his career, Mr. Shore estimates that he has designed over 300 distribution centers, for companies such as Frito Lay, Amazon, Skechers, Motorola, and HEB.

Mr. Shore will assist Commonwealth clients with long term strategy and design of their distribution centers, guiding clients through various options to support growth, achieve higher degrees of efficiency, and adapt to the changing market conditions that many industries are experiencing due to globalization and e-commerce. Mr. Shore is particularly knowledgeable about goods-to-picker equipment such as automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), mini-load technology, and shuttle-based systems.
