Scott Sevenish brings more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution to his new role with Commonwealth’s Distribution Center Consulting Practice
Boston, MA (August 24, 2015) – Commonwealth, a leading supply chain consulting firm, is pleased to announce Scott Sevenish as the company’s newest senior consultant. In his new role, Mr. Sevenish will apply his deep expertise in manufacturing processes, distribution and supply chain consulting when leading client engagements.
Mr. Sevenish will also play an important role in Commonwealth’s ongoing goal of providing its clients with the best the industry has to offer in distribution center process assessment and redesign, productivity improvements, facility layout and design, and warehouse management systems (WMS) selection and implementation. In his past roles at companies like GENCO and TransTech Consulting, Mr. Sevenish helped clients address complex issues that included distribution network analysis, project financial justification, operations management, and acquisition and implementation of WMS.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Toledo University and a Master’s in Business Administration from The Ohio State University, Mr. Sevenish has played a leading role in numerous successful projects and implementations within the manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain disciplines. Within the warehouse, for example, his hands-on experience ranges from material handling, storage, and picking equipment to carton conveying and sortation – and everything in between. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Mr. Sevenish was a senior project manager for GENCO and, prior to that, a senior project manager for TransTech Consulting. In both of these roles, he provided professional management and supply chain & logistics strategy consulting services that included process assessment and improvement, distribution operations and business analysis, and facility layout and design.
Mr. Sevenish currently holds two U.S. patents for his work developing new manufacturing processes and products. His previous projects included distribution strategy development, network design/optimization, operations improvement, enterprise resource planning, and supply chain management software justification and vendor selection, as well as the implementation of solutions in service operations, stores, distribution, and manufacturing.
